Common questions
Denture Frequently Asked Questions
Coverage & cost
Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?+
Yes. We're a participating provider and bill CDCP directly. Bring your welcome letter or member ID to your first visit.
Do you accept the Alberta Seniors Benefit?+
Yes. If you qualify, we handle the paperwork and bill Alberta Blue Cross directly, up to your five-year limit.
How much do dentures cost?+
It depends on the type of denture and your coverage. Complete dentures typically range from about $1,800 to $3,200 per arch before insurance. We'll give you an exact quote at your consultation.
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes — interest-free plans up to 12 months on completed denture work, with no credit check for plans under $3,000.
Fit, comfort & timing
How long does it take to get new dentures?+
From consultation to final fit, most complete dentures take 4 to 6 weeks. Immediate dentures are placed the same day as extractions.
Will there be an adjustment period?+
Yes. Most people need two to six weeks to fully adjust — new dentures feel bulky at first, and your speech may change briefly. Follow-up adjustments are included.
How long do dentures typically last?+
Most dentures last 5 to 10 years. The tissue underneath your dentures changes over time, so a reline every couple of years keeps the fit comfortable.
What if my dentures don't feel right?+
Call us. Adjustments are included for two months after delivery, and we'd rather you come back than live with a sore spot.
Appointments & the clinic
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?+
For new patients, we book consultations. For existing patients with repairs, call us — we often fit same-day.
Do you do in-home visits?+
Yes. We offer mobile denture services for seniors and patients with limited mobility across Edmonton.
Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?+
Yes. Our office is ground-level with accessible parking and no stairs to enter.
Do I need a referral from a dentist?+
No. Denturists are independent primary care providers in Alberta — you can book directly with us.
